We enjoyed our Sunday brunch even more this weekend as we read that we had made it to number 7 in the Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100! Not too shabby at all.
We were in good company representing the gaming sector along with Fanduel, a fantasy sports game developer, and Green Man Gaming, an online games retailer.
The league table ranks Britain’s fastest growing private technology companies based on their average annual sales growth over the past 3 years, with Palringo growing 172.8%!
We’ve had an interesting journey from when we began to where we are now and this was highlighted as a core attribute of many tech companies…experimenting constantly and transforming ideas into marketable products and services. We’re certainly not afraid to experiment as our past tells!
“If they don’t get it right first time they fail quickly and move on; they aren’t afraid to try something else. Nor are they constrained by geographical boundaries.
‘The requirement to think globally is common across all tech companies by their very nature. There are no boundaries or borders,” says Martin Rosinski, who has constantly evolved Palringo since he started the messaging and gaming platform in 2006. The entrepreneur, who designed his first commercial software programme at the age of 11, says problem solvers tend to gravitate to the technology sector.
Rosinksi launched Palringo at the age of 21 with an instant messaging tool for his father’s engineering company. He then targeted the app at big corporates, before switching to focus on the consumer market. The company pivoted again as it found a niche as an online community for gamers, particularly in the Middle East. Following two acquisitions, Palringo has now taken on a new life as a games developer. “
With many companies in the table making a second or third appearance, their sustained performances demonstrate the sector’s robust health and we’re proud to be a part of it.
Now we’re off to celebrate!
